Mrs.Sobicinski's class was my most heartfelt week. The kids welcomed me so quickly I felt like I had been there the entire time. I didn't really do much in the class, but the times I did the kids were copperative. She had me read with a select group everyday and I had to help some of them with prounounciation and others would just breeze right through it and were eager to tell thee other kids the word instead of letting them sound it out. All in all I really enjoyed the class and on my last day I witnessed thee cutest thing since I started this class. As I was walking out the assistant teacher said something about somebody wanting a hug, so when I turned back around to give the little girl a hug and as I knelt down all thee other kids got up from their seats and came over to hug me..it honestly made my week. <3

This week, I was at Central with Mrs. Cruz. I really did not get much times with the kids, I did more teacher type stuff. The kids were at specials for the first fifteen minutes I got there, so Mrs. Cruz gave me some work to do. The first day I graded a test the students did on a book they read in class. Then when the kids came in from their special they had to do a spelling test. That took very long, one because the teacher was doing something else at the same time. I should have done or something so they could of moved on quicker, but I was not really comfortable there. Maybe because they kids were not there for the first fifteen minutes and I tend to be more relaxed when kids are around, then just being by myself with the teachers. I mean I am just like “….what should I do now”. I do not want to be a burden to the teacher by constantly asking for work, which I do enjoying doing. So I am just standing there for looking at things around the classroom until she gave me something to do. She was very nice though. So the second day I took down the border when they were at library. I kind of wanted to go see the library, so I took it down quickly so I could go. I ended up running into a desk because apparently I did not see it. So I got a three inches long bruise. But luckily I did get to see the library. The kids were reading and Mrs. Cruz was putting books on shelves. So I am extremely found of libraries and book, I asked if I could help her. So I put up the books. Then since the librarian was not there, Mrs. Cruz read them a story. It was nice she asked question about what they thought the book would be about. After that we left the librarian and went back to the classroom. They teacher started the line and I was the back of it. It was cute, everyone managed to carry their books back expect two in the back. They kept dropping them. I helped them with that. So I had to leave after that adventure. We shall skip over to Thursday. Thursday, I got to grade a math packet. I really like how that teacher grades her papers. She has a little slip that has the names of the students. Then it has two columns for a check mark if they turned it in and then a box to put the score. I thought it was genius because, you know exactly who turned in the work with having to go back through all the papers. That is something I am definitely going to invest in as a teacher. So after I did that the kids were back from their special. They then worked as a group on math. I stayed but two boys who were having trouble paying attention. I do not know what this one boy was thinking. I told him what the teacher said to do and I even wrote spelled it for him and he still did not do it. At least the other one I was working with did well enough. I just got frustrated with the student. He finally started to get it but then we had to move on to another math page, which he did get a little better, but then I had to leave. So this week at Mr. Cruz’s was not very special, but still alright. I got to learn some teacher tips, beyond the students, which is always nice.

I loved being in the Special Ed. class. The kids were so nice. The teacher was very nice to the kids, she would always remain calm with them. I would work with this little boy the most with his reading, or with his math work. The first day I walked in the kids all came up to me and would want me to work with them, it was a cute experience to be wanted by some many kids. Ms. Montgomery would help the kids with work they were doing, and it really made me feel good inside to see the kids understanding the things they had problems with before. I liked helping the kids read books to take a.r. test because when they would get stuck on a work they would ask me how to say it then say thank you so much Ms. Cash, I felt like I made some difference in their reading. The last day I was there I helped the kids with work then take a few a.r. test, then when I had to leave they hugged me and one of them kissed me on the arm and said I'm going to miss you, Ms. Cash. It was a great experience for me.

My fourth week as a cadet teacher was not a very exciting one. This week I was with Mrs. Mundts' first grade class. I was sick on Monday and on Tuesday she seemed busy, so I just observed her teach the class small vocabulary words. For the rest of the week, Mrs. Mundt had me read with individual students in the hallway. I felt as if I did not accomplish much this week. I did learn that first graders still have "accidents" all over the floor. Well, in a nut shell, that was my week in Mrs. Mundts' class.

This week I was a cadet teacher for Ms. Zielinski at Aylesworth in Physical Education. She was an awesome teacher that let me be really involved with each group of students that came in. She also would explain to me the difference between a first graders attention span and a fifth graders know-it-all attitude. Each grade has individual goals and tests to take in her class. She spends a great deal of her time focusing on what is best for the students. Throughout the week I was allowed to be a referee for the students and even play along with them. The students loved having a young new person in the room that was willing to hang out with them. I loved this atmosphere, especially the teacher. I am not certain that I would be able to handle all different grades, but having a variety of classes is very cool.

This week i was in Mrs. Falk's secind grade class. I did not really get an oppurtunity to get connected with this class because i was only with them for two days. But in the two days i was there, they were very open. They read their grand parents day poems to me. They were so cute. And also, Mrs. Falk had me listen to a few children read and she gave me a bookmark with like five steps to take before you tell a child what a word is that they do not know. It was a good two days.
